I have used this product to rid the red slime and it worked very well at lower doses for longer periods of time, no issues there.
I have an all Lps tank, and have lost a piece of wall hammers here and there over a 2 month period of time usually through a corner starts to decay and before you know the piece is gone.
Yesterday an ultra trachy had a piece decaying and when i took it out, the piece was slimmy and stunk, clear bacterial infection.
All other LPS are doing fine now, and all params are good. I religiously do WC's and at this point am thinking about a safety measure to contain any bacterial threat that could get worse.
The owner of the LFS i go to told me lots of LPS wholesalers use Chemiclean dips and in their tanks as a bacterial preventive measure, and they have success doing so.
My understanding Chemiclean is indeed erithromycyn?
Anyone has done this treatment or any other treatment for the whole tank?
I cant take corals and dip one by one because i cant break them from the rockwork without wrecking them.
While treating chemiclean for red slime i found no issues with the corals, but i hear this product does some damage to the good bacterial population, so want to reasearch before doing it.
Thanks for the help
