Chestnut Cowrie

Can anyone tell me what Chestnut Cowries eat? I have tried to do some research on this but have found some conflicting stories. Also, are they nocturnal?

they are not what I would call reef safe, they are omnivoures and will eat algae, but are also capable of going after sponges and soft coral. Also nocturnal.
