Don't tell me your in Antioch!!! That makes 2.... :)

lol, i guess that make 2 of us. your right. so do u have a lot of frags? i only have a couple and their fairly small size. but i guess you have to start somewhere. im hoping to start getting some bigger ones, just not sure where the best place to get them at without giving up an arm and a leg. do you have any idea's. thanks julie:rollface:

Swaps like this are a good start. I went to Fragapoloza at Oceans Floor in Crystal Lake, it's a yearly swap held in the summer.
Lot's of people here always have stuff for sale. If your looking for something just post a WTB thread and I bet you will get some replys.

I'm in the same boat, I have a lot of SPS but they are still small.

What are you looking for? SPS, LPS, Softies?

Oceans Floor is good for SPS and I have heard good things about Sea Schoor in Buffolo Grove for SPS.

julie,

the swap if you're going should be worth while. You should be able to score some frags for as little as $5.00. Lots of the sellers are willing to deal when multiple frags are involved as well. OF, Sea schor, Sharky's, DLC, Rod's reef, others I can't think of right now all usually have pretty good selections. You can also try frags.org or even people in the area

ive heard of all of those places except DLC ? does that stand for something? where is that located. im going to try out sharkys this weekend, ive never been there. Sea Shore is down the street from my work, but i dont really care for the shortage of help they have.

DLC = Dark Lord Corals, they are in Brookfield and have a website, though I don't think it has been updated.

I used to go to Sharkys when they were in the basement, haven't been there since they opened the store (Doubt they would be happy to see me :) ).
I've heard good things about them since they moved, just be sure to QT/Dip corals, they get a lot of turnover and you may get an unwanted hitchhiker.

ShoTank in Mundelin on Rt 45 is my go to place for fish in the area. Their coral selection is mediocre at best.

There is a place in Fox Lake, Fishy Buisness or Something Fishy, one of those names, good selection of big fish, poor coral selection.

Tank for you is in our back yard, haven't been in there in about a year but they had some decent fish options last time I was there. Keep meaning to stop back there, they are on Depot Rd. by the Pickard China place.

lol tank to you has been getting some cool fish shipped in from hawaii. i am getting a hippo tang when it comes in from hawaii in about a week-their business is really starting to pick up.

Hi, I work in Antioch and live in Island Lake. The swap should be a blast.
Andrea
