chiller question/ opinions

I have a 210 reef with high light and need to buy a chiller. A drop in type would be much more convenient as I would have to put the chiller about four feet off to the side off the tank due to space issues. Through a lot of searching I often read that drop in chillers are not as efficient as in line but it seems to be hear say. Is anyone using a drop in they are happy with or does anyone have any opinions on this issue? Thank you for your time.

You can put an inline farther than a drop in . My drop in has to be pretty close and the hot air fans directly at the side of the sump tank . And you have to have a pump or the skimmer discharge flowing past the coils for it to work well . I would rather have an inline . Always shoot for a bigger unit than you think you need for your volume, mine runs all day and never shuts off for a rest because it's too small .
