Hello Everyone!!
I recently bought a Aqua Euro USA Chiller (1/4HP) from one my local fish stores and I seem to be having some problems with it. I was hoping everyone here could help me.
I have a three chambered sump with my return line in my third chamber. My tank is a 72 gallon bowfront with a 20 gallon sump. I bought a separate pump for my chiller and placed it in the same chamber as my return line. I then ran plastic tubing to my chiller and then ran plastic tubing from the chiller back into the same chamber as the return.
Here is my problem. I turn the chiller on and set it at 80 degrees...just as a test to make sure it is working properly. However, after a little while my chiller dives down to 73 degrees and below and I end up turning my chiller off because it is getting my tank too cool.
Here are my questions. There are two nozzles on my chiller, one for the in line and one for the out. Does it matter which side the in line is and what side the out line is??? The directions do not say anything about this, so I am assuming it does not matter.
Secondly, does it matter that the chiller pump feeding the chiller is in the same chamber as the return line from the chiller as well?? I would think it wouldn't matter since the chiller would turn off when the temp is at the appropriate level.
I think thats it for now. Thanks for your answers in advance.
