I introduced @ 1.5" Ocellaris to my 44 gal FOWLR. Other inhabitants include 1 blue devel damsel, 1 fire fish, and skunk shrimp and CUC.
Damsel (Darla) and firefish (Frieda) got along fine. For weeks they rather shared the same cave/hole complex under a large rock. the way the tank is laid out there are 2 "compounds" for cover.
I added 1.5" O and within literally a couple of hours he had stone cold kicked Darla out of her cave. Now after over a week Carlos (the O Clownfish who if my reading is correct will be female after a while if he isn't already) relentlessly chases Darla and Frieda.
Not sure why all 3 of 'em like the same section but all I know to do is rearrange the rocks again and see what's up.
Will another clown (a smaller one) help calm Carlos down? Another fish or two to add to the community to have more choices for chasing (I'm rather thinking this wouldn't be good). I also understand adding an anemone for a host will make territoritality worse, correct? (would rather not as I'd have to invest in lights and all that - really don't want to until it's time for bigger tank).
Put a Royal Gramma in there to set 'em all straight?
Anything else I've not considered? I think I'm about at my limit for fish.
