her is my fuge led setup ..I have been running these on this system for about 6 months now..I was using 6 fixtures but now 9 fixtures for 90 watts total..these work great!! hers some pictures for ya...

That is some dense macro! How long did it take you to grow that much algae? Have you noticed an effect on your NO3/PO4?

this was taken on 5/10/14 there was 6 at sixty watts then ..

note..not all mangroves acclimated well to the leds ..the ones that did ,did well the ones that didn't died..most likely was to close when they were first put in..it seems like the more leves they had the better..with the fixture higher (1.5 inches) than before I should have a nice canopy for them..the macro grows absolutely crazy fast..you can almost watch it grow..I believe these would be great for an algae scrubber ..thes were $15.00 ea. from china they do sell higher wattages but you loos the spread and also the dollar per watt goes up!! these are 1.5 bucks per watt free ship!! not bad 6 chips 660nm red 3 chips 445 nm blue..no whites at all

I also have removed over a third of it about 2 weeks ago and its not fully grown back..I was running it thick like carpet for a while it was hard to the touch..my test strips do not go low enough to measure my no3/po4 I look at my glass and gha tells me when something is getting higher than normal..gha is always a good indicator of po4 ..that's one reason I upped the wattage to the fuge..I have been adding more bioload to the ds tank..I get small patches of gha that I have been treating with kent tech/m but it seems like a constant battle ..the patches are vary small..When I crop the fuge or do a watter change is when I see the gha try to come back..I run my mag very high and the macro seems to uptake it so the constant need for more tech/m ...there has to be another way??I run sock less now and have been considering running a sock to see if I can get my po4 a little lower.

Where did you but the LEDs?

Oh wow, this is dense! I have a friend of mine that's using the rapidled 12x 3w led par38 bulb and he gets growth like that. But that's like $80 bnib.

I would be interested in getting a couple of these


What size fuge is this? What js your overall volume?
