Chipped Corner

Ok, so I have a 40 breeder with a chip in one of the corners. It held water fine but I wanted to secure it even more. I doubt I'll keep this tank long for the sake of sleeping well at night but how do you think it'll hold up? Everything is level and I'm thinking of putting a foam pad underneath the tank to be safe.

Basically, I took some pieces of glass, smothered them in silicon and firmly sandwiched them to the glass and sealed them off. This is a frag tank so I'm not worried about looks and it's in a back corner anyway.

Aside from the aesthetics flaw, if no water is leaking I wouldn't be concerned at all. I have a tank or two with similar "dings" on them and keep using them without concern.

Alright, thanks for the reply! I guess I'll keep it as long as I can and eventually use it as a sump or something.
