I placed an order for 100 gm of chloroquine today and the prices have dropped. My friend told me that he is now buying in larger quantities since I'm not the only one purchasing it anymore. He asked if I could post the new pricing.

To order click on the RC banner or go to sponsors and find aquainfo.

25gm = $20 ( 625 gal)
50 gm = $35 (1250 gal)
100 gm = $65. (2500 gal treated)
250 gm = $125 (6250 gal)
500 gm = $190 ( 12,500 gal)

This is a more effective and safer product than quinine
No water changes are needed, unlike quinine
No testing of the water is needed like copper
It appears to be better tolerated than copper
It is also kills algae
It is not reef safe.

Any sources for treatment regimens, dosing, toxicity, etc? I've heard and read a bit about quinine and chloroquine as treatments for ich but haven't seen much beyond anecdotal reports.

Kind of. They have link on reefcentral. They are not in the marine ornamental fish business but instead mainly provide meds for horses, cattle, and some aquatic animals like seals and dolphins. I have worked with them over the past year or so and really talked him into providing a whole slew of meds to our aquatic hobby. He is working with an aquatic vet so meds that were previously unavailable without taking your fish in a specialty animal hospital are a possibility. They are not an online store.

He said that he can put many different meds into a fishmeal and has molds for the large marine mammals.

Anyway, write what you are looking for in the comments sections. They will contact you and can take credit card info over the phone.

As for sources, I will have to go through my old files and post some references for you. But you can find the common ones in books like Noga's Fish Disease and Herwig's Fish Diseases. Most date back to the late 70s and early 80s.

Is there any other way of getting a hold of these guys I've left an email 3 days ago and no reply as of yet...
