Chloroquine phosphate treatment question

I started treatment 3 days after moving sick fish to QT. Will this affect the 30 day treatment from ich trophonts that would've fallen off the fish? Should I re-treat for another 30 days after removing CP with carbon?

IME, I have not had luck treating ich with CP. TTM has been my best option. Maybe someone will chime in soon that has had success w/ CP treating ich.

There is a long topic on this already, let me see if I can find. From my understanding, 1 treatment has been enough to battle ich. I cant remember how long the treatment should be. I thought up to 45 days. Let me find.

I do a combination of hypo and CP. I drop my salinity to 12 ppt and dose CP at 12 mg/L every 5 days for a total of four rounds. I do about a 15-20% WC before each round.

Thanks for the links. I guess I'm being paranoid about the first 3 days. Knowing that ich can drop off the fish and encyst in that timeframe before I had the chance to add CP to kill them as they were dropping off the fish. Those first generation can then take up to 72 days to hatch. CP is only dosed for 30 days and then removed. Will ich rear itself afterwards during the observation period? BTW display tank will remain fallow. I know I can do TTM, but that failed the first time around since I didn't follow the 10 foot proximity rule. I convinced my other half to let me buy a dedicated QT tank and put in the spare bedroom, on the other side of the house, with the condition that I get rid of any other fish tanks in the house besides the main tank of course. So no spare tanks to transfer them to or to do another round of ttm.
