Coming next week. Been looking for one of these for several years now. Got one many years back when Matt had the store in Bristol and haven't seen one since.

Why did you have to cancel it?

I remember when we were at the store in Bristol. That's where I got that smoking deal on that dark purple monti. Man, I loved that coral. I finally have a frag of it back!
 
we've still got some stores in the tri cities area but none like matt's... :( i unfortunately got into this hobby a lil late to really enjoy the store... hows everything going in the knox area? im in the need for some new sps or lps :)
 
Ah sorry Mel! I was just in Knox today for cars n coffee at the European auto salon.. Did get to stop by the coral reef to pickup a few frags. Wow! I got 3 frags and 3 HITCHHIKERS!!!!! Amazing actually! 1 tiny pistol shrimp and 2 acro crabs!!! I'm super excited bout the crabs lol super happy with my purchase :)

Those pistol shrimp are really cool. I had one in a Poicillopora colony that was awesome. I never saw him much though.

Make sure your acro crabs are actual acros crabs and not teddy bear crabs. Those really fuzzy ones are not good for your corals. The real acro crabs have a black line across their faces (kinda between their eyes), I think. They totally rule...teddy bear crabs DO NOT.
 
yeah, teddy bear crabs are all cute but they are elusive coral eaters! I had one in my tank for months and it killed many of my corals before I got him out!
 
I'm not trying to trash Coral Reef in any way, but I definitely pulled a few teddy bear crabs out of frags/corals when I was there. But that's just what happens when you get maricultured corals. I think it's completely fine though, because I'd rather take the risk...you're very likely to get good acro crabs in there, which completely rules. I'd rather pull off a teddy bear crab or two from my frags and still be able to get some acro crabs than not get any crabs at all.
 
This went from goniopora to frags to coffee to fickle Dave to crabs LOL. Welcome to ETRC I guess!
 
Absolutely. I love it. You have to read all the threads because you never know where they're going to go.
 
Yeah they are def acro crabs. I have thought about purchasing a few since I'm pushing towards an sps dominated tank . Everything is doing pretty well besides 1 of the acro frags I purchased.. Just some tissue loss.. I believe it will recover. Im currently in the process of upgrading from my current 75g to a gorgeous acrylic 210g :) . Looking for a skimmer if anyone has one for sale . Hope all is well in the knox area. Can't wait to come back down!
 
Glad to hear they're acro crabs. I actually found an acro crab in this giant green mille that I got from Garry. It's AWESOME.
