Just Keep Swimming
So I posted this in my build thread but im thinking I might be able to get a specialized opinion here. I have a poritous? rock that I have kept in my fuge in my sump(which is actually its own lil tank now) and I am going to move it to the DT. I was excited to see growth on the poritous rock and am looking for continued results. In the pic on the top brim all the green is the new growth about a 1/4in.
Lighting on fuge is a single 32w 6700k & 10000k daytime sunpaq pc fluorescent bulb. 11in off DSB and now more like 16. Ran 9pm-9am. Placement was full light under flow from first baffle.
Moved to DT on SB in light in flow. But almost wondering if I shouldn't move it up a bit. It is an sps coral. DT lighting is 2x250w mh ran 11am-7pm and 4x65w pc actinics ran 730am-10pm. Any opinions? It seemed to like the light.

Bump. No one? Guess its spelled porites as well. I will prolly be moving it higher in the tank and treat it a bit like a deepwater but experience addvice is always nice.

from my experience with porites, high flow, but not too much lighting.

mine show much better PE in high flow.

it bleaches with too much light though.

Thanks for the insight allmost. That's kinda what I was thinking. Though it was growing in the fuge that is not a crazy strong light to go off of. So ill treat it as a deep water it seems.
