Christmas wrasse + dottyback/royal gramma

Just wondering , how would a christmas wrasse (3") who's been in the tank react to a new orchid dottyback or a royal gramma ? I wanted to add some purple to my aquarium, and would like to see how either of those two "beginner" fish would be treated ?

The thing is my christmas wrasse usually roams around the sandbed, but would rush at my occellaris clown pair which are fluttering near the top of the tank by a powerhead.

I'm not too worried about my azure damsel, because I dont think it'll try to command the entire aquarium. The wrasse however, roams all over which is what i'd think could lead to trouble.

-- Don't want to introduce a fish that'll be harassed anytime it pops out.

Aquarium = 150 gallon, FOWLR, the christmas wrasse is not the biggest fish, but the only one i think will bother new additions. -- should I stick with a blenny ?

I've got assorted butterflies, foxface, bluethroat trigger, and an asfur angel. dont think any of them would notice a smallish fish like royal gramma or orchid dottyback. i've got cleaner shrimp, but I don't believe they'll be bothered.

Thanks for any advice, regarding my many questions.

I've had both in the same tank. They didn't chase each other.
:p which one with the wrasse .. the dottyback or the gramma ??

I would go for the dottyback, grammas usually tend to hide alot and be very shy if they feel threatened. This would probably be true in your case because the wrasse is already established in the tank. Mine was in the tank first and he still freaked out when I added a 3" regal tang. I have a purple psudochromis and he has a great personality - he's not aggressive at all but also does not intimidate easily.

I haven't found my Christmas Wrasse to be aggressive. It's just short of 4-inches long and I added a Bluehead Wrasse to the tank after the Christmas Wrasse had been well settled for months and it didn't show any aggression toward the Bluehead. I doubt that you'd run into any trouble if you keep one with a dottyback. I've also had a Royal Gramma in with it with good results.

royal gramma's usually are hanging out next to their home....if they get threatened they will swim back into their whole...
But you shouldnt really have to deal with agressiveness...Royal grammas are pretty much tiny groupers respectfully.
and when it comes to somebody challenging their favorite spot..They are fearless defenders of it
