Chromis breeding?

i have 3 green chromis (damsel fish) in my tank, which swim around together beautifully. one is more dominant and larger then the other two and seems to lead...however ever once and a while this dominant one seems to go into hiding for a couple of days and does not come out to eat or anything. no other fish bother the chromis and they every one in our tank get on peacefully.

could the chromis be breeding? i was thinking that maybe this chromis was a female and was off for a short while laying eggs but i am unsure.

any help or info on these damsels would be much appreciated.
