Sold to my wife as a cinnamon, but looks more like a plain tomato to me.

I know they are in the same family, but doesn't cinnamon clowns have black pelvic fins...

Any input?

Looks tomato-ish, but I'm not an expert. My cinnamon was much darker.

Juveniles melanopus may or not have the black ventral fins...

I would tend to agree for frenatus if it's larger than 1 1/2" If those are standard suction cup , to scale , could still be melanopus. Though The one I used to have was darker also.

You may have more luck asking the Lfs where they got it from.

The fish itself is almost 4" in length. The suction cups are rather large on that heater in my QT.

I also thought maybe the black would come in with maturity, but I don't think this fish will have them honestly given it's size.

I've read online that some "cinnamon" clowns may or may not have black pelvic fins...

I'll be sure to ask where they got them.

Either way, it's my wife's fish and she likes it, just want to make sure she wasn't charged more for a standard tomato. (Plus I prefer the black personally)

Attached is a pic of a juvenile and one more mature. Like I said, I prefer these markings.

Cinnamon or regular?

Found this in my old pictures ... The big female had black pelvic fins and the little one was about 1 1/3" and had red ones.

Sorry for the thumb [emoji12]

Cinnamon or regular?

If I read this map correctly , yours could look like the ones collected from the south west shore of Australia... From the Indian Ocean through the Timor sea and up to that gulf.

It was a regular tomato...

I spoke with one of the guys at the store. They came in as cinnamon and they were labeled as such.

He ordered in me an actual cinnamon and exchanged it today.
