clam concerns!

i'm looking into getting a clam but have a few ?s i need to clear up.

1) BB 18" deep tank with 4x54W T5 setup, several SPS pieces doing very well....would a crocea be my best bet? I'm hoping to place the clam on the rocks.

2) I don't have sand, but I do occasionaly blast my rocks with a PH. I've been reading about Clams gills getting clogged; will the particle/silt storm I create be bad for the clam?

3) I have some cleaner shrimp and my fish list includes a coral beauty and lawnmower blenny. Am I looking for trouble introducing a clam with these fish/shrimp?

1.i dont know about t5's
2.if u can remove the clam when u blast u should be ok
3.my CB is no longer allowed with clams,and some shrimp will and some wont

watch the lawnmower blennie to. mine used to bite at the clam shell trying to get the algae.

was the Lawnmower going after macroalgae or the zooxanthellae in the clam? anyone else had problems with LMBs?

I would worry about the angel and possibly the t5's.

it was a fine green algae on the shell. same stuff that grows on the glass.
