......love the clams, and I am beginning to like the slope effect of the Southdown sand. It helps show stuff in the front and lower levels off real nice...........H.I.D...KEVIN.....OVER..........

Hey the Gigas and Hippo sure look familiar.

They look good.
I also like the way you have your tank scaped.

Thanks again for all.

Wow, looks great! I especially like the maxima that's farthest to the right. And your tank looks awesome too; very natural looking. Is that live rock or aragocrete? If it is lr, did you put sand in between the rocks or something? It looks really good.

Concret

Concret

Its a chunk of concret, I made for another tank and it just fit in this one. After a year it looked just like live rock. And you can shape it anyway you want like clay. After it starts to harden. I even made holes with a pensel for frags to go in. But now its full. Oh its hollow too. and cost about $4. Stuff started growing on it right away. I never could find the right live rock so I made my own:) Greg

Well it looks great. I'm gonna be starting another tank in the near future, so I think I might try that... How long did you have to let the cement cure?

the mold

the mold

I dug a mold in the dirt out back 3with my hand poured it and then waited 15minutes then pulled it out and scraped and pushed it into form. It takes a few trys. the perfect one didnt fit in the tank. Thats when you get the hammer and chissel. and you can make anything you want shelf wise at this time its easy to drill to. Dont forget to scrape out the top of the mold to hollow it out or it will weigh a ton. At $3.00 for 80lb bag of mix you can expearament. I now can make great fake figi rock. Greg
