Clam question

Do your clams close at night? I haven't been able to find an answer to this. I have a croeca clam that is gorgeous and open during the day and closes at night. I just wanted to make sure this was normal behavior.

they don't close 100%, they are partially open. this is because when they are open, they are relaxed. closing requires them to use energy.

mine stays open 24/7 only closes when a fish or something touches it..

Okay. It doesn't close 100% just not all the way out full open. Ill try and take some pictures.
