Clam question

how long does it take a clam to latch on to a rock? and if it keeps falling off is it because it doesn't want to be right there lol?

I have found it is easiest to place a clam on a flat rock in the bottom of the tank until it attaches and then move it. But, clams do not like to be moved cause it stresses them. So find one place its happy and leave it alone. If it jumps, it's not happy with the flow, the light intensity or something else.

 

[Reggae Fish]

Take a flat piece of LR and bury it in the sand at the bottom. Then, place the clam on top of it and it has always worked for me.
