Clam whith softies?

I know soft corals can adversely affect SPS, but is the same true for clams?

I have a 29 gallon tank with about 11 gallons in the sump. Its lit with a single 250 Watt DE bulb about 10 inches from the surface. The tank is skimmed with a Euro-Reef RS-80, I run Pura-Complete in a phos reactor, and I have plenty of flow.

Would this be an appropriate setup for the clam even with the softies? Thanks.

No problems...

Not for long term... he will be getting a new home in a few months in a 150 gallon. Right now he is very fat, happy, and shows no signs of stress.

You would be correct! The squamosa is about 7-8 inches and growing very fast! There is also a baby derasa hidden on the right side... Thanks for the compliment!

Thanks for the replies. bassettmd you have a very nice tank and clams.

I think I'll be getting a clam as soon as I get my nitrates taken care of. (Nitrates were 0ppm, then I move the tank from Ohio to Virginia, they are no at 15ppm. I think its because I put the sand in a bucket, thus disrupting it.)
