Clamp

I emailed but thought I'd post here too.

Is it normal for the clamps to wear out over time? After my last cleaning, my 6105 will not hold position. It drifts to perpendicular to the glass, where I need it angled about 45 degrees. I am assuming this is a clamp failure?
