Clams and Seahorses?

Klownfish

I have a 75g tank, set up for 7+ years. I have a few softies and several large clams, and gorgonians...

Can I keep Erectus seahorses and clams together? I have a 12+" Derasa, and( 3) 4-5" maxima's.

Do seahorses eat clams? Will the clams kill the seahorses by closing on them, if the slow seahorses swim on the clams?

I lost many fish and coral due to a hospitalization, and I'm considering a different direction with my tank, provided I make changes necessary for seahorses. Slower flow, lower tamp, etc...

Do I need to sell my large beautiful clams before I consider Erectus seahorses?

-Thanks in advance!

I'm sorry to have to say this but yes, clams are not tankmates for seahorses. Their tails will trail across the clam shell and get caught in one. I would not take the chance. It is nice to see that you are thinking ahead before getting the horses.
