Has anyone been able to keep Maximas or Croceas in a bare bottom tank?
TIA
TIA
Thanks Wazzel, what I was looking for![]()
I'm that guy. Hello!I'm going to say this and probably catch a lot of flack. Croceas shouldn't be kept in the industry at all. I have yet to meet a person who has a Crocea over 3-4 years where the mantle isn't a faded black, with blue stripes, and the mantle is also turning white/grey as well. I've kept Maximas down there a lot. But if you can look around super hard for a Squamosa with some nice coloring
I'm that guy. Hello!
Had mine for almost 4 years now. Still looks great.
I just make sure he's way up high in the rocks and getting plenty of light.
Pictures please sir. Would love to see a Crocea that's been in a tank over 3 years and that black hasn't faded.

Actually it looks better and better. But I'll keep an eye out for whatever you're talking about.NNnnnnnope. See the mantle where it's getting cloudy and the black is slightly fading to grey? They all do that between the 3-5 year mark. It'll most likely keep getting lighter. If you have pictures from 2 years ago I wouldn't be surprised if the mantle was much more vivid
