Clams&GFO(Rowa phos

Do youall use GFO with your clams,I used kent's and I think it killed my clam, are a few days after I started using it my clam died.
So I thought I would use a different brand(Rowa phos), but before I do, what do you all think.

Hmm, I don't think the gfo is the problem.
What fish and inverts do you have?
What are your water params?

IM using Api test kits,amm 0 nitrate 0, cal 420/430 alk 8/9 Ph 8.2 mid day mag ?test kit arriving today.
Fish, yellow tang blue hipo clown fish,1 cleaner& peppermint Shrimp.

So you do not think gfo is the prob, I did not have the clam 8 days,I did the clam test(checked it to see if it was healthy)the mantle looked full, put my hand between the light and clam and it closed very fast, so I bought it .
The only thing I did different to my tank was add the gfo and 2 days later it was dead.
If it was not the gfo it must be a bad(sick) clam.?

i used rowaphos with my crocea and never had any problems. heck i used 5x the recommended amount to get my po4 down in a hurry.

id say something wasnt right with the clam.

ive also noticed when i kept clams they liked the nitrates around 15-40ppms any one else notice this?

Guys, I use Blue Line Phosphate remover. It is the BEST phosphate removal method by far.

i was told that Fe had something to do with clams and Rowaphos is Fe based.... but way to fix that i think is to run carbon right after the phosphate remover.
