Clams Group Order

I would like to see if anyone would like to do a group order on clams, but if you guys think this is a bad idea, please just tell me. I don't want to offend anyone or suggest something that is unhealthy or bad for the clams. Here is what I was thinking. This site will give free shipping on 10 clams or more:

GROUP ORDERS
We do group orders and when orders are over 10 clams then we provide FREE Shipping and container cost.

The clams start out at $35. I would like to have 2 clams and I am having a hard time finding them. I personally would rather buy from a LFS, but I have been ready for a while and would like to purchase them soon. They would send the order to the FedEx and I would pick it up.

Please give suggestions on this.

I would like to order a clam but we may be able to get a better deal if we do a group buy through one of the LFS. You probably know which one I am talking about.

I will take one!! I don't think you could touch the price online through a petstore. I don't think they could sell some of the more colorful one's any where near the pice they have them for

If we can get ten, we can them locally for about 45.00 to 50.00 for a 3+ inch Croceas. So, I would rather buy around here if possible.

I agree philjess, I would love to do a group through JoMars, even if the clams would cost a bit more, they would be bigger and we would have a better chance of healthy ones. Lets try it, if we cant do the group buy there, then we will do the other group order. How does all feel about that? I will purchase them on my credit card and let everyone pay me when we get them.

If you do it through Jomar's or Fugi's I'd go in for a Squamosa. Clams direct didn't have any in stock.

Fugi got me the one I have now for $35. Thats a good deal Vs. online, so I bet a group buy could get a great deal.

And I'm sure Ron would also appreciate it for all his "free advice" that he gives on a daily basis, he has bills too. keep it local if you can. Just a thought. Plus its nice to see what your getting before you pay.

I completely agree. I would rather purchase from JoMars by far. I was in talking to Barry and he said he had no idea when they would get some in, so I just thought he did not want to order them. I am all for ordering from Ron, I completely trust his expierence and opinions. Lets first try to do it through him. Does that sound good to everyone?

Thats fine Ron, we understand that you can't order whats not available. I would rather wait on them and order from you. Lets all wait for a couple weeks and see what will be available. How is everyone with that?

just so you guys know... i live in LA and i visit the wholesellers all the time... those clams cost roughly $14 for a 3" and $17 for a 4" @ wholesale cost... just so you know if you are getting a good deal or not


i dont work for a LFS or wholeseller but i can get you guys the numbers for them... but you HAVE TO HAVE A RESALE LISCENCE...so if you guys are going through your LFS and you guys need the name of a few wholeseller here in LA send me a PM and i can see if i can get you guys in touch with the right people to help out your group buy...

Interested in one but may have to wait this time.... I have 30 gallons of water in the floor and still not sure what happened to the Mega Overflow? It is all cleaned up and 60 gallons of new water added so I will go througt another cycle. Let me know how thing go with this! Also Ron I may have 2 large leathers that need a home. Bruce

The only reason i want to go though an online operation is so i can pic out the one i want. I just don't want then to tell me what it could look like i want to see a pic of it befor i buy it. Or just have them order a bunch and not know what they look like at all.
