clams on starboard-will they survive?

I have a 180 with a starboard bottom, do clams need a sandbed to survive?

what type of clam are u talking about?croceas,maximas live up in the reef in the wild.derasa's,squamosa'sare found on the sand(most of the time)

No, they'll be just fine. Prop them up between 2 rocks until they grab hold.

the only thing with starboard or any bb they may attach to it the pain is when you need to move him its easier to move the rock it is attached to i use 1 1/2 pvc 2 inches high

I would try to "wedge" the clam between two rocks. I would hate to have to pull the clam off of the starboard if something happened or you needed to move the tank.
