Clarkii clowns

My Clarkiis layed eggs today. Should be about a week before they hatch. My first pair of clowns to spawn, pretty excited to see how they do.

Well that batch of eggs hatched on Wed night, and I was expecting them on Fri night. So I missed them.
They spawned again lastnight, a little bigger nest this time. I guess there may be 500 or so this time.

Each time they will lay more and they hatch just after the lights go out when you can see the eyes in the eggs. I also have a pair that lay regular batches but I have never tried to raise them as I'm traveling to much for work.

I'm going to give it a shot. I have a dedicated breeding system setup with 6 pair of clowns. Only one spawning right now though. Hopefully a few more will start up soon.
I have a pair of green mandarins that spawn, and some copper striped cardinals that have spawned.
The mandarin eggs that I collected a couple months ago did not hatch for me, I'm going to try it again when I have more time this winter.
The copper striped cardinals are mouth brooders and have only held the eggs to hatch once. I tried to raise the larvae but lost them all on day 3. I think they needed copepod napauli, which I now have a culture of Parvocalanus ready to go if they ever hold to term again.
