Clarkii question

I added a second clarkii smaller than the one i already had but bigger in the group it was. I don't know the sex of the one already in my tank. According in what i know, one can change sex but if it's true than how long does it take?
The one i already have is hosting in a 14" green carpet anemone (got them together).
