Clean up crew deals?

Anyone know of anyone who sells cleanup crews at decent prices?

My last person who did it stopped doing it. I can't see paying 1 to 2 dollars per snail.

My last order, hermits were 25 cents a piece and astreas were 35 cents and mexican turbos were a buck. Does anyone know of a site or person who has deals similiar to this? Looking to do a big order of a couple hundred.

Thanks.

Do they offer reduced pricing on bigger orders? 80 cents a snail is still pretty high when you are used to 35 cents. Buying 200 adds up :)

If you order from Reeftopia I will would like to get in on that order. I wouldnt mind some pepermint shrimp and snails.

I'm over an hour away so it makes it a bit more difficult to do a group buy. There shipping is free anyway and I calculated price per item and it is fairly good.

Those werent astreas though were they? I didn't see any for them but I did see the ceriths if I recall.

I find it ironic that anyone would want cheap inverts but from online where you'll probably pay at least $30 in shipping.. or are you really seriously looking for something huge and bulk like ?

Well I'm looking to stock a 180 and my prop tank. I factor in shipping and I mainly only buy from Florida since shipping is 10 to 15 bucks. When I buy snails, I also split it with a friend and a coworker. So we buy about 300 to 500 snails depending on the type. Any reeftopia is free shipping over 99 bucks or something like that.

Checked out etropicals. Prices about the same as the LFS. bluezooaquaatics is way too high. 500 dollars for a cleanup crew is just laughable. Either way, I'll be using reeftopia as it seems their pricing is pretty well and close to the other person I used to use.

Dont forget that if you're not in a super big hurry many of the LFS can special order in within a week or two what you'd want so you'd just need to take a little drive if you find online places too expensive. Just depends on the supply of wholesalers at the time.

I'm a *little* nervous about ordering some critters online because some stores misidentify cleaners. There was a place on ebay once that was selling nassarius snails and conchs I had heard about and when the person received their goods it was all whelks :( (that looked a lot like the right thing but weren't)

Just be careful :)

Yea I'm leery of ebay for certain things. But if it is a reputable place, I'm a little ok. Most stores I have tried don't want to give any breaks. One local store wants 2 dollars per astrea. I asked them what pricing would be if I bought 200 and they said 400.00 and they don't have a discount.

One sort of LFS did contact me so we will see how it works out. Biggest issue is driving to get it. Free shipping compared to taking 3 hours out of my time plus gas gets to be a pain. But I do like supporting local stores.
