Hi I'm pretty new to keeping a saltwater tank but I've had my tank for about 2 weeks. I was wondering what kind of snails, hermits, etc. would be good for my 29 gallon tank. Also, if there are any websites you guys know about and have had some great experiences with I'd like to know..and cheap prices would be good too.

thanks for the helps guys.

If you have a sand bed then the all time best snail is the Nassarius Snails
They move under and over your sand bed it helps to keep it clean and aerated. It is cool when you look in your tank and do not see them then you feed your tank and like magic they all come to the surface as one. My next favorite is the bumble be snail they are long lived and clean your rocks, glass and sand and they are very cool looking. Then come the Mexican turbo snails another snail that will cover your whole tank.

i have a 29g DT too. i have a blue leg hermits, nassarius snails, torchus snails, 1 turbo snail, and 1 emrald. After my tank had settled down i found it to be too much for my tank. I need to overfeed meaty food to help sustain the crabs and nassarius snails. i also have to throw in some nori here and there to help feed the other snails. if i were to do it all again i think i'd go with more nassarius snails, the torchus snails, and maybe some Cerith snails. i'd also keep the crab but not so much as part of the CUC. I just think she's cool. The reason i wouldnt get blue legs again is because they ate some of my nassarius snail for shells (i had plenty of empty shells around the tank) and they bother my zoas/pallys pretty often. The turbos are cool too, but they are so large that they knock over my frags that arent glued down and slow eat a lot. what ever you choose, take it slow. get a little now, wait a bit and if u need more add a little bit more. if you dont, you'll need to care for their needs down the line. best to just get the appropriate amount and let them live in a sustainable number.
