cleaner shrimp or cleaner wrasse

I have a FOWLR tank that I can't keep shrimp in because of a couple of triggers and a h. tusk, so I have a cleaner wrasse that all of the fish lets him perform his cleaning services. They're supposed to be hard to keep, but I've had this one for 2 years.

Yep, they just don't live. I wonder if you have true cleaners Disco. The way there collected, getting them to eat anything other then parasites poor shippers.

I think its hit or miss based on the individual. I can vouch for Sean's its a true cleaner and have watched it first hand pick at nori of all things, which from what I have read is not entirely uncommon.

There are false cleaners which are actually blennies (Aspidontus taeniatus). However, they usually present themselves very quickly when they take a chunk out of a fish.

I've never seen one eat any offered to them. Only stories until now I've heard were death and they lived if you have a bunch of tangs...ich magnets
