Cleaner shrimp safe in Kuda tank?

I was wondering if I can add a Cleaner shrimp to my Kuda tank?

Will they harass my Kuda too much? Or is this actually beneficial for the Kuda and the tank itself?

Whats your opinion? Anybody currently doing this or has done this before?

THANKS!!!! :)

If the cleaner shrimp are small there is a good chance the seahorses with try and eat them. If they are too big to eat then they may bother the horses if they try and clean them. Horses don't really like things crawling on them. That being said my friend keeps some huge cleaner shrimp with her H. erectus seahorses and they pretty much seem to ignore each other.

Seahorses seem to be able to snick through the back of some pretty large shrimp and just eat the tail section. That is something to think about if you introduce cleaners into an exiting seahorse tank. There is a good chance the seahorses will think it is feeding time.

As has been noted in numerous past threads here and elsewhere which I'm sure you've read... yes, cleaner shrimp can be very bothersome. No, they are not beneficial to the Kuda. Peppermint shrimp can/will scavenge uneaten food just as well as cleaners without the problem of being a pest.

I keep a cleaner. I have had it for a few years before I read differently. After reading of all of the trouble others have had with there cleaners, I would not recommend you try one.

They don't really do anything benefical to the seahorses. Peppermints are much bettermates IME. I have 6 in with my horses.

My Kuda ate my Peppermints right after they ate the Aiptasia. :( Sad, but at least they did their job. :) I was really hoping to keep these guys. I found them with a piece of the tail ripped off. Maybe I can keep a Coral Banded in thier that can actually defend themselves against these "peaceful" Kuda. :)

No, you shouldn't. ;)

Sea horses are very shy and a cleaner shrimp is aggressive as far as touching other fish...................Bad combination!
