Cleaner Shrimp

Does anyone know the typical life expectancy of a cleaner shrimp?? I had one for about 2 1/2 years and just lost him. I've heard that it is between 1 and 2 years, but just figured I would bounce it off of anyone with longer or shorter experiences..

I heard and read the exact same time frame for life expectancy. Sorry to hear he died. They are amazing shrimp and very fun to watch.

Mine never made it passed the 2 yr mark. than replaced.

I have a blood red cleaner shrimp that I have had for 6 years. I put him in my very first 12 gallon aquapod, and now he is in Megan's Elos Mini. He has been in a 12 gallon aquapod, 100 gallon reef, 39 gallon reef and now resides in the Elos Mini.

I always heard they max out at about 3 years, but mine has easily doubled that.
