Cleaner Shrimp

I have always thoughtof cleaners as peaceful reef safe creatures. I just read that they like clam flesh. Is this true? Should I avoid a clam if I have a cleaner?

I have read they will eat clam flesh if the clam is dying. Doing what every other scavenger does. If it is a healthy clam they should not bother it.

I have a 75 reef with four cleaner shrimp and two clams - never had any problem with mine.
