cleaner wrasse questions

Does anyone have experience keeping cleaner wrasses?

How are they with your invertebrates?

If you had a choice, would you prefer a cleaner shrimp?

Never had any issues with blue streak cleaners, the hawaiian "pretty one" are a bit harder. As long as they eat frozen no issues. I had my pair for years now.

I have tried both the blue and the Hawaiians. I kept a Hawaiian for over a year, had some trouble with a tank, and had to take it to majestic to house it there for a week or so and it somehow died there with no body no explanation. I was not happy that fish had a cool temperment. The blues are pretty cool too. just make sure you end up getting a true wrasse not a saber tooth blenny. at the store make sure they eat frozen prepared food before taking one home. It has a better chance of survival eating prepared foods instead of relying on eating parasites and dead scales alone. hope this helped.

I have a blue streak cleaner and he/she is the most active and bold wreath I have. He doesn't bother any other fish, he just like to swim back and forth begging for more food. It never stops moving. It also loves to bury itself in the sand at night. I've had him/her a year now. I was told that it wouldn't survive, but it eats frozen brine and chopped mussel quite well.
