Cleaning euroreef- genx6000 pump

I have a euroreef cs250 skimmer and can't figure out how to clean the pump. The euroreef manuel doesn't say anything about cleaning the pump- but certainly it must have a filter or something that needs an occasional cleaning. The pump is a modified GenX6000 according to their website. Can anyone help me out on this before I contact euroreef?

I supose you could take the pump out and run it in a vinegar bath for a while, that should clean it well.
