I have a 12g Nano, and when i do my usual weekly water change i rub the inside of the glass with a scrubbing pad, it looks great for a couple of days but the algae grows back fast! (also one of the clowns doesnt like my hand being in the tank and has started to nibble at me!!)

i need some ideas on how to keep the glass looking great!

Thanks

plastic disposable taping knife from Home Depot. They come in all sizes, work great and cost about $1. Highly recommend!

I use a mag float to its only 12 gallons so it should only take a minute to clean it off. My tomato clown bites me every time I put my hand in the tank. It doesnt hurt now but when he gets bigger it gonna hurt.

i agree that it doesnt hurt, its just a shock when you dont see the lil fecker comming!!

I've had a clown surprise me too. It didn't help that I was thinking about bristeworms when it happened....It may have sounded like there was a 8 year old girl in my house for a second. :) My clown got me right on the inside of my forearm near my elbow. It was soft enough where she got to chomp down pretty good. I feel sorry for the gold bar maroon owners who have to bleed on occasion.

Mag float are really nice, when I filled my tank I got a calcium deposit all over the glass and use a Scotch Bright Pad to clean it, actually scratched the glass, only can see them with the MH on if you get at the right angle, live and learn!!!!!

Yes. Clowns are known for that in a small tank. Mine did it all the time in a 24g & now he is in a 75g and it leaves me alone.

Yeah, my female maroon has no fear.....if you hand is in the tank (pretty much anywhere in my 60g), you can expect to be hit at least once...more if you get near her side. My son thinks it's really funny when she picks up snails, runs the to the other side of the tank and drop them onto the rocks from the top of the water line...so of course, her side always needs some algae cleaning off the glass....I'm sure the snails don't find it as funny.
Yes, I love mag floats. at least I can hit her side without getting bitten, lol
