Cleaning old rock

I have access to some reef rock that has been stored in salt water for months. It has had no light, circulation or heat. It was kept outdoors. I assume it is quite dead. After cleaning.if I boil it in fresh water, then bake it in the oven, can I put it straight in my tank.? I will ude it for base for my live rock.

I'd skip the freshwater and boiling. I'd get some circulation going and add a heater and skimmer. Let the rocks cook that way for a couple of months with water changes.
