Cleaning out Tank

FInallY! I am emptying out my cichlid tank this week, hopefully today, to get ready for the reef setup!! What I am wondering is since there is some hard water deposits and just other gunk in general, what can I use to clean this up easier? I think I remember reading white vinegar but am not 100% sure so I do not want to risk it! Thanks!

White vinegar is fine. Blot it on the white spots and let sit for a while and then it should come off easily. If glass a razor blade will do and if acrylic a plastic scraper should to the trick.
