cleaning question?

Do you clean the back glass on the tank? my tank is new( 2months old) and my tank is building up diatom on the glass, I clean the front and the side with the magnet.. but should I leave the back glassthe way it is? will it eventually turn to green algea? I see that my coral beauty love the nip at the back glass panel is he eating those diatom algea? pleae advise......

You can clean the back glass yes. I actually prefer to scrape the coralline off mine because it really brings out the colors in the fish/corals. The diatoms are normal for newly cycling tanks. It will go away in time. If you want to scrape it though, it won't hurt a thing.
