cleaning salt creep?

OK, I've been doing this for a lot of years now, but still don't have a good solution for cleaning salt creep. No matter what I do, big chunks fall on my corals and stress them out.

Anybody have any cool tricks for cleaning salt creep around your tank?
avoiding burns if it falls in the tank?

maybe increase your flow? If any falls in my tank its blown to nothing almost intantly.

You could rim your margaritas with it. If you dose calcium you'll get strong bones too!
