Hey my tank and equipment has alot of dried up salt and what not what can i use to clean it out safely or whats the best way to go about it

I use 50/50 mix vinegar and water mixture to clean my equipment and a toothbrush. If it is only salt, warm water would probably work fine. I wipe salt creep off with a warm wet paper towel.

It won't let me edit the post but I wanted to explain a little better.

I use the 50:50 mix on power heads and pumps outside of the tank. I use a bucket. As for salt creep I take a paper towel and get warm tap water on it, wring it out, wipe off the salt creep.

Also if you use vinegar on pumps or power heads make sure to rinse off very well before putting them back into the tank. Don't put vinegar into the tank.

for salt creep i just spit on my sleeve and rub it off

IMO cleaning the powerheads and pumps with vinegar every other month or so is hugely important and underrated.
