Cleaning Tank

I unfortunately used the wrong device to clean my acrylic tank and scratched it, so cleaning it is difficult. Any recommendations on getting algae off? what about scrapers?

I have glass, and have managed to put a couple small gashed in the sides as well with a metal scraper. I was not happy.

Since then, I really only use a sponge-like scraper to make quick work of nuisance algae, but I use a Magic Eraser to get to the tougher-to-reach parts that the scraper can't.

For coralline, I've switched to the old credit card method and it works surprisingly well.

Acrylic is much more fragile than glass, as you discovered.
My go-to cleaning devices are an old credit card or hotel key and Mr. Clean Magic Erasers.
