Clear Shots

How does everyone get those clear shots threw the glass.I am using a d80 with macro lens.

Here are a few.

Most of those I suspect that you are not angled PERFECTLY perpendicular to the glass. I mean PERFECT, you can't look up, side to side, AT ALL. Even the smallest amounts cause distortion.

The second one, the glass was so dirty it looks like the camera focused on the glass instead of the corals.

Offhand, those look to me like you're taking them at an angle through the glass. You need to be real close to perpendicular to get a nice crisp shot.

The bottom picture you posted just doesnt look to be in focus at all, so that's easy to fix, just focus better

EDIT - Once again, someone beat me to a reply while I was typing.

Ok will try with pumps off and a straight on the tripod was a slight angle.Makes sense.
