Clibanarius vittatus max size

Hi

I got a Clibanarius vittatus or thin striped hermit crab by mistake when i bought some blue-leg hermit crabs.

It is in a margarita snail shell 1 inch wide.

It hasn't bothered anything and i am wondering how big it will get and what shells i should get it.

I bought a turbo shell with an opening 1/2 to 3/4 inch wide, is that ok?

thanks

As far as I know it can get up to 2-3 inches - as far as shells go: it's always best to provide more than one and in different sizes, sometimes they choose shells that are way bigger than what one would think they can carry...

They can get up to 6 inches. That shell you bought is good for now buy you will need bigger shells later. Mine are about 3 inches each and swich shells constantly
