Close and open

Do some zoanthids (really any coral) randomly close up one day, for a day or two, and then just open back up for no reason? My zoanthid closed up today, just one polyp, for no reason at all, I searched it for pests and haven't seen anything around it.

zoas and any coral close and re open again for many resons. it can be because they catch food do to stress fish picking at them and the list go and go

Okay that's what I was thinking cause today he was slightly closed, like so:

And then by the time lights went out he was fully closed!

It's been doing a little better but I saw this today. What is this. Could it be because I've been acclimating a new light? Pc biocube lighting to a 70w mh. I do feed them. Could this be waste? Or zooxanthellae? I don't like this

Okay well I wanted to get that stuff off of it but its not stringy stuff, it's like a hole or and opening.... Idk what this is.
