Closed for the season?

The round colony of zoas had a bad cyanobacteria coating on it.....so I treated it in a seperate tank with RedSlime Control, and it cleared right up. All the polyps in the colony opened and looked great. I put it back in the main tank(after a little fresh water dip) and this is what it looks like now. You can aalso see the green star polyps are closed also. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

A freshwater dip is a pretty good shock to any coral.I'venever seen one not survive but i have seen it take a while for them to open back up. How long has it been?

Just to clarify...the purple mat below and to the right of the round zoa colony was a really cool looking green star colony at the LFS. It went into the tank a day and a half ago also.

Anyone else have this happen? Any ideas? I'm going to try one of those Hydor Flo attatchments to see if randomizing the water flow might help debris from clogging everything up....right now I use the "turkey baster method" evry couple of days.

Even though your zoas are closed the polyp still looks healthy. I think that over the next 2 the should start to open up. Do not be surprised if they "poop" during this time. A normal response to stress and as long as the polyps do not shrink to near nothing then consider it a good thing.

Like everyone else said, give them time.
You may also want to move that GSP away from the colony. GSP is evil and will kill almost anything it comes into contact with.;)

looks to me as if they are starting to open i'd give em a little more time as for the hydor flo , i'd save my money! I've had four all worked great for a month or so and start to stick .and quit working.
