I have an empty 125g I used to run a reef in for a year or two. I had to to take it down when my life changed and I couldn't be home enough to take care of it etc.
Now things are back to normal and I want to start it up again.
I used to run it open top with 3 250w MH's hung 10-11" above the top of the tank. I had no heat problems.
Naturally I had a good amount of evaporation. I'm contemplating running it with a glass hood but am curious what that would do to heat.
Can I run closed top with a 125g with 750w MH's without requiring a chiller ?
PS. ( Yes I could just fill it up and close the top and see but I'm lazy ... )
