It's probably going to be hard to get one in NY, although you might have some luck with asking one of the local dealers to see if his wholesaler can get you one. If he can get you one, it will be less expensive than the alternative (taking a vacation in the Pacific and collecting one) but it may still be fairly expensive. There was a guy in NY (on this forum occasionally) who had some in his tanks, but he's living in Hawaii these days.
