Help with my Foxface.
Did a fresh water dip and saw nothing in the water.
Did another dip the next day with Para Guard.
not eating but swimming around seems to not be able to see very well being that his eyes are cloudy. I have had this fish for over 5 yrs and he has survived everything. I had my tank crash about 4 yrs ago a clown and him were the only ones that lived. Had a fish come down with flukes and died. Treated tank with Para Guard did a 75% water change after. Is it to late?

These were taken yesterday. Today he has a little bit of fin degeneration and some layers lifting on one eye.

it is probably a bacterial infection. i don't think it's too late, but if he's not eating you do need to act now. i would move him into a hospital tank and treat with quickcure(formaline/malchite green), and a +/- antibiotic. i personally like kana-pro. in my experience a fish that has a severe infection after a formaline treatment often starts eating within an hour or two.
i hope this helps, or others give input. best of luck, he is a beautiful fish.

It is too late for UV after infection has taken hold. (but have you been using a UV?)

At this stage antibiotics treatment, no UV, is a QT is the only hope.

Some antibiotics will completely destroy nitrification bacteria some will only depress it somewhat. Kanamycin, Neomycin will only depress nitrification. Chloromycitin will destroy nitrification bacteria.

Yes, I do have nitrification filter in a QT. As much as it works, use biological filitration in QT.
